BCSN’s Sports Nightly is your new home for sports coverage, five nights a week. The show features anchors Ken Watlington and Eric Haubert who will discuss local sporting events each weeknight at 10:30pm. They will bring viewers the latest in scores, highlights, and analysis on local sports. Sports Nightly will feature personal interest stories and insight with interviews from coaches and players.
Ken Watlington is an award-winning sportscaster hailing from the Tar Heel State. Before joining BCSN in April 2007, Ken worked for 11 years at ABC-affiliate WWAY in Wilmington, N.C., as a news anchor/reporter. While there Ken received four North Carolina Associated Press awards. After making the move to Toledo, Ken took over the reigns of The Light Side and earned an Ohio Cable Television Award. A native of Plymouth, N.C., where he played varsity basketball and baseball in high school, Ken graduated with a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He now resides in Springfield Township.
Eric Haubert is northwest Ohio native who graduated from Maumee High School and Bowling Green State University, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism and served as Sports Director of BG24 News. After BGSU, he worked as a Sports Anchor/Reporter/Photographer in Toledo, Roanoke, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina. After his time in the Tar Heel state, he returned to northwest Ohio serving as Sports Director at the local NBC affiliate, before joining WTVG's sports department in 2012. In addition to his work at 13ABC, he also serves as a play-by-play broadcaster for BCSN. Eric and his family reside in Monclova.
