Edwards, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound senior running back/linebacker, leads northwest Ohio in rushing with 1,327 yards on 134 carries, and in touchdowns (23) through seven games for the Comets, who are 6-1 overall, and 3-1 in the Northern Buckeye Conference football standings.
For his career, the versatile Edwards has rushed for 2,221 yards and has scored 38 TDs, including four on punt returns, one on an interception return, and two on pass receptions.
This season he has produced four 200-yard rushing games, with 277 against Perkins, 222 against Otsego, 204 against Woodmore, and 200 against Scott. He has five TDs versus Perkins and Scott.
