BOWLING GREEN — The injury report for the Bowling Green State University football team entering Saturday’s contest against Ohio included both good and bad news.
One of the negatives is that freshman quarterback Jarret Doege was in uniform but did not take part in practice Wednesday; that is expected to be the case for Saturday’s contest against Ohio.
James Morgan took most of the snaps at quarterback, with Grant Loy getting second-team reps.
Falcons coach Mike Jinks also said running back Matt Domer had season-ending surgery on his foot earlier this week. Domer is expected to be able to return to the field for spring practice.
“I hate for that to have happened to him because he was showing signs of being his old self,” Jinks said.
The rest of the injury news was positive for the Falcons. Cornerback Cameron Jefferies, who missed the past two games, returned to practice Wednesday, as did running back Josh Cleveland, who hurt his ankle at Miami and missed practice Tuesday.
Both are expected to play against the Bobcats in a contest that will kick off at 2:30 p.m. from BG’s Doyt Perry Stadium.
