Nick Schneider dominated the Generals’ attack as Anthony Wayne (3-0, 5-1) kept a share of first place in the NLL. The Generals outgained Maumee (1-2, 3-3) 319-100, led by Schneider with 22 rushes for 82 yards. Schneider also caught three passes for 72 yards.
Generals quarterback Max Denman was 13 for 25 for 161 yards and the one passing score. Devon Cleghorn led Maumee with 18 rushes and 47 yards.
Northview 35, Napoleon 13
Northview’s Joey Okeke and Jeffrey Blanks combined for 260 yards on the ground in a win over Napoleon.
Okeke, who had 150 yards on 16 carries, opened the game’s scoring with a five-yard scamper, and he added a 12-yard run just before the half.
Dylan Unverferth, who finished with 21 carries and 146 yards, had a 59-yard run to account for Napoleon’s (1-5, 0-3) lone first half points. He then added a four-yard run to open the second half that pulled his team within one.
But Northview (6-0, 3-0) answered. Trent Simms returned a punt 55 yards and Blanks, who had 18 carries for 110 yards, then had back to back rushing touchdowns.
Bowling Green 37, Perrysburg 22
BOWLING GREEN — The Bobcats (3-3, 1-2) picked up their first NLL win as they jumped out to a 31-0 lead.
Nick Jackson started the action with a 35-yard pass catch from Spencer Rader. Brayden Dean-Scheele followed with a 30-yard interception return, Brian Dible scored on a 24-yard run, Ryland Black kicked a 27-yard field goal, and Tucker Craft had a 60-yard interception return.
Perrysburg (2-4, 2-1) recovered in the second half. Ty Bezek caught two touchdown passes of 10 and 30 yards from Drew Sims, and Caleb Gerken had a 5-yard TD run. Jackson also had a 37-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Springfield 38, Southview 0
Alex Legeza scored on a 23-yard rushing TD and added a 47-yard run as the Blue Devils (4-2, 2-1) cruised.
Quarterback A.J. Gucciardo threw three scores of 8, 15 and 37 yards to LaKeith Jackson.
Kyle Rhonehouse had five extra points and later boomed a 47-yard field goal to complete the Springfield scoring.
Southview (1-5, 0-3) was led by Alex Yarrito, who had 10 rushing attempts for 63 yards.
