Panthers set up showdown of unbeatens with Central Catholic next week

LIMA — Two big defensive scores enabled Whitmer (5-0, 2-0) to roll to victory. Sam Stickels started the scoring with a fumble recovery in the end zone for a touchdown, and Pasean Wimberley later added a 52-yard interception return.

Kobe Myers finished with 63 yards on seven carries, including a 42-yard touchdown run.

Adrine Mitchell had both touchdowns for Lima Senior (2-3, 0-2) on runs of 6 and 9 yards. Mitchell was 11 for 26 for 136 yards through the air and had 50 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Michael Contreras kicked a 24 yard field goal with 7:29 to go to give the Little Giants (3-2, 1-1) the victory.

Hayden Lehmann was 23 of 35 passing for 262 yards and three touchdowns. Roger Burling had five catches for 75 yards and a score. Devyn Jagodzinski caught eight for 74 and a touchdown. Noah Hotz had six receptions including one of 10 yards for a score.

Brady Lichtenberg was 11 of 18 for 162 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for a score for the Titans (2-3, 0-2). Sam Swift had a 27 yard scoring catch. Alex Gayle rushed for 79 yards.
