The University of Toledo football team defeated Tulsa 54-51 on Saturday night at the Glass Bowl.
Jameson Vest kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to give Toledo the win.
Tulsa opened the fourth-quarter scoring on a 39-yard TD run by quarterback Chad President which made the score 44-36 with 12:07 left.
Toledo answered with a 49-yard TD pass from Logan Woodside to Diontae Johnson. On the two-point conversion Woodside connected with Jordan Fisher to tie the game 44-44 with 10:18 left.
Woodside then threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson to give UT a 51-44 lead with 8:04 left.
Shamari Brooks responded with a 2-yard TD run tying the game 51-51 with 2:47 left.
Then Toledo marched down the field and Vest came through with the game-winning kick.
The University of Toledo football team trails Tulsa 37-36 after three quarters tonight at the Glass Bowl.
Terry Swanson broke a 49-yard touchdown run on Toledo’s opening possession of the second half to cut the Tulsa lead to 28-21.
Tulsa stretched its lead to 31-21 with a 25-yard field goal from Redford Jones with 9:10 left in the quarter.
Logan Woodside then found Cody Thompson on an 81-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 31-28.
Woodside and Thompson again connected on a TD pass, this one from 15 yards out to give Toledo a 34-31 lead with 3:13 left in the quarter.
Tulsa answered with a 1-yard TD run by D”Angelo Brewer. Toledo then blocked the extra point attempt and Josh Teachey returned it 98 yards for two points, cutting the Tulsa lead to 37-36.

Shamari Brooks scored on an 8-yard run to increase Tulsa’s lead to 28-7 with 5:01 left in the half.
Toledo closed the half with a touchdown drive capped off with a 26-yard TD pass from Logan Woodside to Cody Thompson.
Woodside is 11-of-18 for 164 yards and two TD passes. Art Thompkins has 66 rushing yards on seven carries.

Tulsa quarterback Chad President opened the scoring on the first Golden Hurricane drive as he rushed in from eight yards out to complete an 18-play, 77-yard touchdown drive and give Tulsa a 7-0 lead.
Toledo answered with a touchdown on their first play from scrimmage when Logan Woodside hit Danzel McKinley-Lewis on a 60-yard pass to make the score 7-7 with 9:23 left in the first quarter.
Shamari Brooks then broke a 63-yard run up the middle for a TD, giving Tulsa a 14-7 edge.
Tulsa added to its lead when Craig Suits intercepted a Woodside pass and returned it 37 yards for a TD.
