Rossford rolls against Northwood; Genoa remains unbeaten

Archbold 29, Lake 13

MILLBURY — Gabe Petersen ran 23 times for 156 yards, which included touchdowns of 1 and 68 yards, to spark the visiting Blue Streaks in a nonleague game.

Petersen also threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Sam Petersen, who added a 1-yard run. Kaiden Bedsell added a 26-yard field goal for Archbold (2-1).

Scott Mackiewicz scored both touchdowns for Lake (2-1), on 44 and 14-yard runs. He finished with 10 carries for 106 yards.

Rossford 61, Northwood 36

UPDATE: Northwood at Rossford

The two teams combined for 1,047 yards of total offense and 13 touchdowns, with the host Bulldogs piling up 589 yards and eight TDs.

Rossford’s Austin Eick completed 10-of-16 passes for 321 yards and three scores, adding TD runs of 27 and 37 yards. Cam Reynolds caught touchdown passes of 55, 62, and 24 yards.

Chris Pickett led the ground game for the Bulldogs (1-2), running for 140 yards on 19 carries, including touchdown runs of 30, 7, and 15 yards.

Northwood (1-2) finished with 458 yards of total offense, including 368 yards rushing. Anthony Williams ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns, scoring on runs of 19 and 8 yards.

Jon Lucas also scored twice for the Rangers, catching a 43-yard scoring strike from Tim Romstadt and adding a 21-yard run.

Romstadt also scored on a five-yard run late in the first quarter.

Genoa 52, Perkins 14

SANDUSKY — Noah Edwards rushed 17 times for 277 yards and five touchdowns — four in the first quarter alone — as the Comets (3-0) cruised by the Pirates (0-3).

Edwards had scoring runs of 44, 62, 1, 64, and 53 yards.

The Comets also had rushing touchdowns from Jacob Plantz (83 yards) and Josiah Bradfield (one yard). Sam Witt booted a 28-yard field goal and connected on all seven PATs.

Isaac Grunde led the Pirates with 107 yards and a 53-yard touchdown on 12 attempts. Justin Butler also had two-yard rushing score.

Oak Harbor 42, Woodmore 6

ELMORE — Clay Schulte carried the ball just three times, but he scored touchdowns on all three runs to lead the Rockets to the road win.

Schulte had touchdown runs of  30, 47, and 40 yards as Oak Harbor (1-2) finished with 292 rushing yards.

Rockets QB Jac Alexander ran 47 yards for one touchdown and threw a 15-yard pass to Aric McAtee for another score. 

Adam Ohms also scored on a 24-yard run for Oak Harbor.

Woodmore (1-2) got its lone touchdown on a two-yard run by Aaron Sandrock.

Elmwood 63, Toledo Christian 7

BLOOMDALE — Christian Aldco rushed for three touchdowns and tossed a fourth to Tawann Gudger as the Royals (1-2) routed the Eagles (0-3).

In the Royals’ productive rushing game, Levi Garner had a pair of scores, and Garrett Wright, Sanford Fraley, and Konner Logston had one each.

The Eagles had an eight-yard scoring run by Maximus Dominguez.
