Bedford slips to 2-1 with loss to Saline

Whiteford 54, Summerfield 6

OTTAWA LAKE — Logan Murphy ran for 212 yards on just 12 carries and scored three touchdowns as Whiteford built a 42-6 halftime lead and rolled Friday night.

The Bobcats (3-0, 1-0 Tri-County Conference) had 542 yards of total offense, including 460 on the ground. Zach Bertz also scored three times, Bradyn Clark-Gilmore rushed for 101 yards and Thomas Eitniear threw two touchdown passes to Hunter Lake.

Noah Cunningham caught five passes for 135 yards for Summerfield, including a touchdown.

Saline 31, Bedford 7

UPDATE: Saline at Bedford

TEMPERENCE — Cole Daniels  was 13 of 21 passing for 233 yards to lead the Hornets (2-1) to victory. He threw scoring strikes to Brendan Murphy and Andrew Diuble.

The Mules (2-1) scored when Austin Malabanan hit Brock Andrew from 13 yards out. Bobby Slusher led Bedford with 54 rushing on 10 carries. Malabanan was 2 of 7 for 46 passing.

The Mules had 137 yards rushing  and 46 in the air. Saline with a big fourth quarter ended up with 182 rushing and 233 passing.
