Two players that appeared in a handful of games for the Walleye last season re-signed with the team.
Forward Charlie O’Connor and defenseman Parker Reno agreed to terms.
“We saw in a short stint late last year how solid both of these players can be,” Watson said. “They will make big strides in their first professional seasons.”
O’Connor appeared in five games and posted three points with two goals and an assist for Toledo. After wrapping up his college career at Bemidji State, he scored a goal in each of his first two pro games and appeared in three playoff contests with no points.
O’Connor, a 25-year-old from Elk Grove Village, Ill., was a captain with Bemidji State and helped lead the Beavers to a league title as a senior, when he posted a career-best 13 assists and 19 points over 41 games.
Reno played in 10 contests for the Walleye and had a pair of assists at the end of last season. Reno played at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he appeared in 100 games.
