Perrysburg's Bri Pratt delivers a pitch during a game last season. THE BLADE
Bri Pratt, Perrysburg
The Yellow Jackets’ junior pitcher is off to a 5-0 start this season and has not allowed an earned run. She has 66 strikeouts in 38 innings and has allowed just seven hits and 10 walks. Pratt is hitting .483 with four RBIs.
Last season, Pratt went 17-3 with a 0.99 earned-run average. She also had a .391 batting average and drove in 14 runs.
“The thing that makes Bri such a dominating pitcher is her ability to change speeds and keep hitters off balance,” Perrysburg coach Ryan DeMars said. “She throws the ball hard and has a good drop ball and an excellent change-up. Bri understands the game and is constantly analyzing. At the plate, Bri has excellent hand-eye coordination, allowing her to hit pitches throughout the zone. Her great bat speed allows her to be successful even against top-level pitchers.”
