St. John's Jesuit drops regional title game

Titans end season at 25-3 with 54-38 loss to Massillon Jackson

AKRON — Fifth-ranked St. John's Jesuit's year came to a end with a 54-38 defeat to Massillon Jackson in a Division I regional final tonight at the University of Akron.

The loss snapped a 22-game winning streak for St. John's (25-3).

Harrison Riggs led St. John's with 9 points.

Jackson will play in the Division I Final Four at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Columbus.


St. John's Jesuit trails Massillon Jackson 26-20 at halftime of a Division I regional final at the University of Akron.

Houston King leads the Titans with 7 points, though St. John's has trailed for most of the game. Tycen Anderson has 6 and Vincent Williams, Jr., has 5 for St. John's.

Kyle Nicolas and Kyle Young have 8 each for the Polar Bears.
