Toledo boxer Robert Easter, Jr., has gained a lot of recognition for becoming the IBF lightweight world champion.
Now it’s moving to the next level: The Toledo Mud Hens will distribute a bobblehead likeness of Easter on June 30 at Fifth Third Field. The Mud Hens play the Columbus Clippers that night.
Easter successfully defended his world title against Luis Cruz on Friday in front of a sellout crowd at the Huntington Center. Easter’s record now stands at 19-0, with 14 knockouts.
The Mud Hens will reissue the popular Jamie Farr/Corporal Klinger M*A*S*H bobblehead to fans on Aug. 25.
A bobblehead of former Mud Hens pitcher Andrew Miller — now a star Cleveland Indians reliever — will be given away on a date to be announced.
Mud Hens tickets can be obtained by calling 419-725-4367 or visiting mudhens.com.
