The Mud Hens had two players named to the International League's post-season all-star team announced today.
Ezequiel Carrera was one of three outfielders named to the team, while Mike Hessman was selected as the designated hitter.
Carrera hit .307 in 97 games for Toledo, the fifth-best mark in the league, and had six home runs and 41 RBI. He leads the IL in stolen bases with 43 despite not having played for the Hens in a month, and his .387 on-base percentage stands fourth in the league.
Hessman has batted .255 with 28 home runs and 64 RBIs in 113 games with Toledo. His 28 home runs are one behind the league leader, and he leads the IL with nine sacrifice flies while standing fourth in slugging percentage (.515).
