INDIANAPOLIS — The Mud Hens swept a two-game series in Indianapolis after claiming a 5-3 victory over the Indians Tuesday.
Ezequiel Carrera led off the third with a single, stole second, and moved to third on a throwing error before scoring on a single by Hernan Perez. In the fourth, Trevor Crowe led off with a single and scored on a two-out double by Danny Worth.
In the fifth, Perez doubled, stole third, and came home on another throwing error.
In the sixth inning Wade Gaynor slammed his fourth home run of the season.
The Indians got a home run from Matt Hague to lead off the seventh, but a two-out rally netted the Hens a run in the eighth as Gaynor walked, stole second, and scored on a single by Worth.
