Oklahoma City selected Michigan power forward Mitch McGary with the 21st overall pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday night.
McGary, who spent the 2013-14 season sidelined with a back injury, showed flashes of NBA potential during his freshman season. The 6-10, 255-pounder, had a strong showing during the Wolverines' 2013 NCAA tournament run when he averaged better than 14 points and 10 boards.
He became the second Michigan player to be drafted during the first round of this year's draft. Nik Stauskas was selected 8th overall by Sacramento.
