The Walleye will open next season at home when they host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Oct. 18.

Toledo will host Eastern Conference champion Cincinnati in its home opener.

The ECHL released its 2014-15 schedule Wednesday and the league's 27th season begins Oct. 17 with six games being played in six states from Florida to Alaska.

The Walleye will host the league’s first outdoor game. Toledo will play two games at Fifth Third Field in downtown as part of a week-long Winterfest. The Walleye will host Kalamazoo on Dec. 27 and Fort Wayne on Jan. 3.

Toledo's first road game of the year is Oct. 24 at the ECHL’s newest member, the Indianapolis Fuel.

After opening the season at home, Toledo's next five games are on the road.

Among the 36 home games, 32 will take place on a Friday (10 games), Saturday (16), or Sunday (six games).

As usual, the bulk of the team's games will be against North Division rivals. Toledo will host Kalamazoo seven times. The Walleye will play Cincinnati five times at home, while eight home games will be against Indiana teams. Toledo plays three against Fort Wayne, three against Evansville, and two with Indianapolis.

The unprecedented Winterfest will take place at Fifth Third Field from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3. The 10-day event will include an alumni game between Toledo and Fort Wayne, a game between Bowling Green State University and Robert Morris University, and more than 100 youth, high school, and adult games.

More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for the Walleye games. Tickets for the lower level at Fifth Third Field are $30, while tickets for club seats are $40.

Game plans for the other regular-season games are available. For more information call 419-725-WALL or go to toledowalleye.com.
