The Walleye gained a goalie and also lost a goaltender and a forward in more roster moves today.
Goaltender Hannu Toivonen was returned from an American Hockey League call up. Forward Alden Hirschfeld, a Sylvania native, has been loaned to Grand Rapids of the AHL. Goaltender Mac Carruth also was recalled to Rockford of the AHL.
Toivonen played in 16 games for the Walleye and posted a 7-8-0 record and a 3.61 goals-against average. He went 1-1-1 in four AHL games with Milwaukee with a 2.50 GAA.
Hirschfeld returns to Grand Rapids where he collected an assist in three games. He has 29 points (9 G, 20 A) this year in 49 games with the Walleye.
Carruth (8-15-0) had a 3.36 GAA with the Walleye, who play at Cincinnati on Friday and Saturday.
