Ottawa Hills' Hunter Sieben shoots over Tiffin Calvert's Billy Burns.
R.J. Coil scored 15 points to lead the Green Bears past the Senecas 55-15, but the emphasis for the Green Bears (21-1) was to maintain both focus and consistency against a team that struggled to find its offensive rhythm.

“We kept our composure and we kept our heads on,” Coil said. “And we didn’t get ahead of ourselves at all.”
The Senecas went 1-for-9 from the floor in the first quarter and finished 3-for-18 shooting in the first half. Nothing fell for Tiffin Calvert (10-14) until Austin Ball hit a 3-pointer with less than 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
The Senecas finished 5-for-34 from the floor and didn’t have any scorers with more than three points.
Both Coil and and Green Bears coach John Lindsay said communication was key Tuesday, and has been a point of emphasis this season.
“That’s been a process for us,” Lindsay said. “We talked about how much tougher we are, defensively, when we’re communicating and talking and that helps us use our length too.”
