Boys prep basketball roundup: 2-19

Fox, Generals prevail at home ; Northview beats St. Francis; Springfield, Bedford get wins.

Anthony Wayne 70, Bryan 65

Host Anthony Wayne outscored Bryan 20-16 during the final quarter to secure the boys basketball win on Tuesday night.

Matt Fox led the Generals (12-7) with 20 points, Jake Reid added 16, and Jake Mruzek had 14.

Austin Schimmoeller tallied 15 points for Bryan (12-8), Thomas Martin scored 14, and Jason Hug had 10.

Northview 47, St. Francis 43

Aerin West and Mohamed Afifi powered Northview (7-14) to a home win with 11 points each.

Dontae Ellison, Lamar Carswell, and Evan Wheeler each scored 11 points to pace St. Francis (6-14).

Springfield 33, Maumee 31

Manny Durden scored 11 points to help Springfield (14-5, 10-3 NLL) win. It led 20-9 at halftime.

Brian Utter led Maumee (4-16, 3-10) with 11 points.

Bedford 54, Tecumseh 30

TECUMSEH — Dylan Barr scored 19 points, and Jeremy Harris had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Mules (11-6, 8-5 SEC).

Whiteford 79, Ida 69

OTTAWA LAKE — Colin Lake scored 34 points for Whiteford, which trailed by two points at halftime.

Lake added six steals for Whiteford, while Zach Perry had six assists and seven rebounds

Caleb Leary led Ida with 29 points.

Otsego 68, Delta 58

DELTA — The Knights (9-12, 5-8 NBC) held off Delta behind 32 points from Jalen Myers and 22 from Schyler Scherff.

Scott Garlinger led the Panthers (11-8, 3-4) with 17 points, and Noah Munger added 11.

Eastwood 56, Toledo Christian 49

PEMBERVILLE — Grant Peters scored 16 points and Jake Schmeltz 11 as Eastwood (15-5) won at home.

Kyle Kempton led Toledo Christian (13-8) with 19 points. Garshawn Paynther added 11.

Gibsonburg 50, Maumee Valley 32

Jordan Kreglow finished with 15 points and Tyler Ernsthausen 12 to lead the visiting Golden Bears (17-4, 9-4 TAAC).

Marcus Knabbs scored 13 points for the Hawks (14-7, 8-5), who trailed 18-9 at halftime.

Old Fort 73, Northwood 43

Hunter Perry scored 23 points and Jon Lotycz added 16 as Old Fort (16-5) cruised on the road.

Dillan Cathers led Northwood (1-19) with 13 points. Jacob Vickers scored 12.

Fremont St. Joseph 63, New Riegel 55

NEW RIEGEL — Hunter Harrison poured in 22 points to lead Fremont St. Joseph (10-10, 7-2 MAL).

Jake Dryfuse paced New Riegel (7-13, 5-4) with 25 points.
